The milk in your fridge comes from black isle dairy

Black Isle Dairy is a small family run business, founded by fourth generation dairy farmer Nicholas Mackenzie with the support of his father and fellow farmer Dereck Mackenzie, owner of The Dairy at Daviot.

Based on Rootfield farm we have a specialised production kitchen and honesty shed where all of our products are available to buy. The honesty shed is open 7 days a week 7.30am - 7pm Mon - Sat and 8am - 6pm on a Sunday.

Using creamy pasteurised milk from our own Black Isle dairy herd of Holstein, Ayrshire and Jersey cows, our skilled milkologists make small batches of gelato-style ice cream, including frozen yoghurts, fruit sorbets and ice cream cakes, using fresh, local ingredients whenever possible, and always of the highest quality.

We hope you enjoy our milk.
