WE ALSO TOOK ADVANTAGE OF GETTING A PREPARED MEAL DELIVERED TO US WHICH IS SOMETHING I'LL BE HOPING FOR FROM FUTURE VENUES I STAY AT!Our stay at the Jersey cottage for a long weekend over Easter was a fantastic break and felt much too short! The cottage itself was perfect for us and our young son, and the ability to darken the rooms with Velux blinds is a tremendous advantage. We had a trip to the Kingsmill which was a 10 minute drive for a swim in their pool, which again was ideal for having young children. We also took advantage of getting a prepared meal delivered to us which is something I'll be hoping for from future venues I stay at! Many thanks to Alison, she was very organised and easy to communicate with which is a big help in booking holidays. Many thanks again for a great stay, Andy, Lorraine & Aiden.
EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT AND THE SURROUNDINGS VERY PLEASANTWe had a wonderful stay at Jersey..everything was perfect and the surroundings very pleasant even the weather was brilliant. We will be back. Thank you Alison for making our stay very comfortable David and Family.
WE THOUGHT IT WAS VERY FAMILY FRIENDLY AND SO WE FELT EXTREMELY COMFORTABLEWe really enjoyed our stay in the Jersey cottage, which was spacious and had everything we could possibly have needed. We thought it was very family friendly and so we felt extremely comfortable. We would absolutely recommend staying here and we hope to be back ourselves when visiting this area again.
THE COTTAGE WAS BEAUTIFULLY LOCATED AND COMPLETELY SET UP FOR OUR 11 MONTH OLD DAUGHTERWe had a fabulous stay in Jersey cottage. The cottage was beautifully located and completely set up for our 11 month old daughter. We loved the thoughtful touches like toys in bath and wine in the fridge! We enjoyed visiting the local area and hope to visit again soon.
FRIENDLY STAFF MADE OUR STAY EVEN MORE SPECIALCouldn't fault a thing with our stay and cottage. Very accommodating and friendly staff made our stay even more special. We had a fantastic weekend for our daughters wedding and would like to thank everyone who helped out. 1st class all round.
WE RECEIVED A VERY WARM AND FRIENDLY GREETING ON ARRIVALWe received a very warm and friendly greeting on arrival and Alison, recognising we had two young children of 18 months and 3 years made sure there were a few toys for the boys waiting for them which was a nice touch. Location was great, short drive to Inverness and lovely scenery. Having the cafe on the doorstep was a convenient luxury and the food was impressive, catering for young kids too. The onsite fenced playground area was well thought out as it was hard to see what could go wrong just letting the kids loose helping us to relax whilst the boys burned off energy. The apartment itself "Jersey" was extremely spacious, with two ensuite bathrooms attached to two large bedrooms, a nice large kitchen/lounge with wide floor to ceiling window framing the view outside and even a ground floor bathroom. It came with every facility we required for the kids. We would definitely stay here again.
THIS IS A HIGHLY RECOMMENDED PLACE TO STAYAnother enjoyable and relaxing stay at our favourite cottage, the Jersey. As always our host offered a very warm welcome and made sure our needs were catered for. This is a highly recommended place to stay which can be used as a base to see all that Inverness and the surrounding areas have to offer.
THE PLAY PARK AND THE CAFE WERE IMPRESSIVEWe thoroughly enjoyed our visit and were very impressed by the facilities at the Dairy - the play park and the cafe were impressive - while the interior of our Jersey house was very spacious and comfortable. The Dairy proved to be an ideal base to tour around the area and take in Aviemore and Loch Ness and it was also very handy for Inverness and its shops. We also found Alison very helpful in making our stay so memorable.
COTTAGES ARE FIVE STARAlways a great welcome. Cottages are five star. Cafe on site if needed. Sumptuous bed linen and towels. Spacious and quiet with great views of the countryside.
CLEARLY SOME THOUGHT HAD GONE INTO THE NEEDS OF YOUNG CHILDREN, WHICH WE REALLY APPRECIATEDWe had a lovely time during our 3 night stay in "Jersey". The Dairy at Daviot was ideally situated for our family wedding at Bogbain Farm. We really appreciated the peaceful setting, and found the excellent cafe on site really useful. The accommodation was ideal for us, and clearly some thought had gone into the needs of young children, which we really appreciated. Finally, my grand-daughter loved the play area!
FANTASTICFantastic, cozy cottage, well equipped, friendly staff, perfect location.
ALREADY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THE DAIRY TO FAMILY AND FRIENDSWe had a fantastic stay at jersey last weekend. It was our second stay at Daviot and it did not disappoint. The deal we were offered was very attractive. An excellent, spacious, very comfortable and well equipped cottage. We had a very warm welcome and easy check in and the cottage was very cosy and warm for our arrival.we will definitely be returning in future and have already highly recommended the Dairy to family and friends. Many thanks
WE COULDN'T HAVE BEEN MORE DELIGHTED WITH THE ACCOMMODATIONWhat an absolutely beautiful place to stay! I stayed here the day before my wedding (which was at The Café at the Dairy) and the Jersey cottage was just perfect for getting ready with my girls! My husband and I stayed here for a couple of nights following the wedding and we couldn't have been more delighted with the accommodation. Alison and her staff were a delight to communicate with in the run up to our stay and even popped in to see that everything was perfect on the morning of our wedding. Thank you ! Mr & Mrs Mateer
ALISON WAS EXTREMELY HELPFUL BOTH IN THE RUN UP TO OUR ARRIVAL AND DURING OUR STAY AND COULDN'T DO ENOUGH FOR USWe had a wonderful stay at the Jersey cottage, we were staying for a week as we were getting married in Inverness and also booked out all the cottages for family and friends. Alison was extremely helpful both in the run up to our arrival and during our stay and couldn't do enough for us. The cottage was very clean and comfortable, we had our two year old with us and my husbands sister in another cottage with her two children and the cottages were well equipped for small children. I can't recommend the cottages enough and if we come back to Inverness which I hope we will, we will definitely be back to stay at The Dairy at Daviot. Thank you so much. The Daggitt family
WE WOULD AND DO RECOMMEND THE DAIRY AT DAVIOT AND LOOK FORWARD TO OUR NEXT VISITBecause of renovations to Jersey we were moved to Simmental and had the most wonderful stay. As ever Alison made us feel most welcome even providing chocolates and ice cream to compensate for the move. Totally unnecessary but very welcome nevertheless. The weather was unseasonably warm and added to our enjoyment of the beautiful countryside around Daviot. We shared our cottage with family and friends all of whom were delighted by the cottage and the amenities of the Dairy. We would and do recommend the Dairy at Daviot and look forward to our next visit.
WHAT A WONDERFUL PLACEHi,what a wonderful place, takes me back to my childhood days having been brought up among similar farm buildings, your restoration and conversion work is of the highest standard. The service was second to non, friendly, helpful, and just simply nice people, which is becoming rarer these days unfortunately. I am unable to dream up complaint, everything just perfect, thank you for a great week, shall fly your flag in Orkney for sure, regards, WALTER SCOTT and family.
Thank you for your very kind comments we are so very pleased you enjoyed your stay with us.
PEACEFUL LOCATION WITH WONDERFUL COUNTRYSIDE VIEWSA lovely little cottage, very well equipped, a home from home. Close to plenty of amenities, but in a great peaceful location with wonderful countryside views. We will definitely be back.
THANK YOU FOR ANOTHER MEMORABLE STAYA lovely bright cottage with a great outlook. We will definitely choose this one again. Gorgeous decor and well equipped. We have a toddler and everything we could possibly think of was provided - stair gates, high chair, safety guards on sockets, plastic plates and bowls, even rubber ducks! Thank you for another memorable stay.
WE WILL DEFINITELY BE RETURNINGWe had a lovely stay in Jersey. The cottage was beautiful, very clean and luxurious. The kitchen was extremely well equipped, and the shortbread was delicious! Cafe across the court yard was so handy and the kids (and grown ups) loved the ice cream! We will definitely be returning.
NICE PERSONAL TOUCHESGreat place to stay. Fantastic setting. Restaurant Lovely. Cottage itself was of a very high standard with nice personal touches. Although the weather outside was cold the cottage was cosy and well heated. Would definitely recommend.

EVERYTHING WAS VERY CLEAN AND THE BEDROOMS WERE MOST COMFORTABLEWe spent a very happy few days over Christmas in Jersey. This is certainly the most comfortable and well presented cottage we have ever been in and we have been in quite a few over the years! The house was lovely and warm on our arrival which was most welcome as the weather was very frosty. Everything was very clean and the bedrooms were most comfortable. Thank you Alison for the wine, shortbread and flowers. All in all a very pleasant stay.
APARTMENT WAS GREAT!Had a little hot water problem but Alison came over immediately. Only thing that was very annoying was the intermittent WiFi signal. Had to keep turning the main power switch off & on. Not ideal. 2nd time we have stayed at the dairy and fully intend on staying again sometime x
Our sincere apologies for problem with Wi-Fi connection we will investigate this. Alison
ACCOMMODATION IS OF A VERY HIGH STANDARDWe really appreciated all the special touches, wine, roses etc. Accommodation is of a very high standard with an exceptionally well equipped kitchen. Alison was very helpful, obliging and a pleasure to communicate with.
HAPPY TO RECOMMEND THE DAIRY AS A FIRST CLASS VENUEA thoroughly enjoyable stay at Daviot and as expected from a previous visit everything was of the highest standard. We had the company of our daughter, son in law and grandson for a couple of days and they were most impressed with the accommodation and attention to detail. Our grandson said he had the best time ever and wanted to know when we could all come again. We would be happy to recommend the Dairy as a first class venue and we are sure to visit again. Janet and Bruce Smith, Stirling.
WOULD NOT STAY ANYWHERE ELSE(Stop calling me Ross!)
Sorry Calum must be technology!!My wife, Sarah, and I have been to The Dairy several times (we were the very first customers) and would not stay anywhere else. The apartments are beautifully appointed and maintained and Alison Gow, the manager, is a real find. The Highlands are beautiful and a week is never long enough. We WILL be back (providing you all vote NO). Calum Ross
GREAT COTTAGEGreat cottage and we had a great holiday.
WE HAVE ALREADY RECOMMENDED TO FRIENDS AND FAMILYThe Dairy at Daviot (pronounced DAVEY-OTT) is a fantastic place. With 3 families travelling together, we used it as our home base. Fantastically generous rooms, more like a home than a "hotel". We appreciated the full sized kitchen and dining area. We also used the adjacent cafe that served great food, including a special order of delicious roast pork for the entire family one night, delivered to our door! Five star restaurant standard! The location also proved idea. Whilst just out of Inverness, it meant that we were not held up by the gridlocks every morning and night, we were able to skirt around it. Enough good things cannot be said about Alison. What a fabulous lady! We have already strongly recommended it to friends and family.
VERY PEACEFUL SETTING AND THE KIDS PLAYPARK WAS GREATWe had a lovely stay in Jersey, a beautifully appointed cottage with everything you would need for a relaxing, comfortable break. Very peaceful setting and the kids playpark was great. We couldnt believe that on both Thurs and Friday nights we were the only people staying and had the courtyard to ourselves. Great for us, but probably not so good for profits. The price did just about put me off booking, but decided that we deserved a treat. Maybe the price is a little high compared to other similar accommodation, although I do appreciate the little touches (wine and milk in fridge, shortbread and coffee) and beautiful interiors and furnishings. We ordered food from the Cafe on one of the nights and it was delivered to our cottage ready to pop into the oven. What a great touch. Would love to come back sometime, maybe get a discount for a repeat booking? Kind Regards. Hilda.
THE MOST BEAUTIFUL AND LUXURIOUS COTTAGE WE HAVE EVER STAYED INThe Jersey cottage at the Dairy at Daviot was undoubtedly the most beautiful and luxurious cottage we have ever stayed in. Everything (bedding, pillows, bed linen, curtains, plaids ...) is of high quality. We really enjoyed our stay there. It was very comfortable, cosy and very well equipped. I would certainly recommend it. C. & A. STEVENS Belgium
THE BEST SELF CATERING I HAVE EVER BEEN TOI am so impressed with the quality of The Dairy. Such a lovely place, and Fraser and I always have such a lovely time when we stay. The accommodation is spotless and has everything and more that you could possibly need. Love the wee extra touches such as the bottle of milk and wine on arrival.
BEST SHORT BREAK HOLIDAY EVER!Simply the best short break holiday ever! From the moment of arrival every detail of care and comfort was provided. Our cottage, a room with beautiful view, light filled and restful. We still talk about the welcome bottle of wine (happened to be my favourite), and refreshments. The family kitchen is so well equipped as to make cooking easy. We particularly appreciated this cottage, sensitively and beautifully decorated in the soft colours which reflect the surrounding landscape. As a personal touch I loved the home made guidebook of local walks complete with photographs and maps.
SPOTLESSLY CLEANExcellent accommodation in every way. Everything you could wish for and need in Selfcatering. Spotlessly clean as well which is the main thing we would look for. If you do not wish to cook you can walk across the courtyard to the fully serviced restaurant with a good choice of lunch and afternoon teas. If in the area again we would definately choose The Dairy.
BEAUTIFUL LOCATIONComfortable cottage with all amenities. Quiet, beautiful location. Easy to get out and about. Issues sorted quickly without fuss.
